The Albano lane marking system is using a line of buoys for marking the canoe-kayak, rowing and dragon boat races. It was first internationally introduced in the 1960 Summer Olympic Games held on Lake Albano, and it has become the universal standard since.
The Lane Marking System utilizes strong longitudinal wires to mark the racecourse lanes and also cross wires to hold them in firm position. Furthermore our company developed the Polaritas Change Over System (‘PCOS’) allowing the conversion of racecourses between canoe-kayak, rowing and dragon boat arrangements in a matter of hours. This feature is extremely useful for organizing races right after each other and such design has proved itself in the last 4 Olympic Games. The Lane Marking System has also been certified by ICF and FISA as their choice for world-class races.
All components are built, produced and maintained under an extensive quality management system. Delivery includes both longitudinal and cross wires, flag, lane marking and numbered buoys, a set of spare parts and tools.
