OUR HISTORY
Established in 1984, Budapest, Hungary, POLARITÁS-GM Kft. has become one of the world’s leading technology specialist of the canoe-kayak and rowing sports.
Being famous for its strong reputation and reliability in technological R&D, the company initially developed measurement and test equipment for product manufacturing. However, due to the adverse change in market conditions in the late ‘90s, Polaritas switched its attention to a niche in sports technology.
Our primary goal is to support athletes, judges and spectators with the highest quality and innovative products in the canoe-kayak and rowing sports. Polaritas is ISO certified and meets the rigorous requirements of the International Canoe Federation (ICF) and the World Rowing Federation (FISA) set for product accuracy, reliability and deployment.
Our flagship solution, the Automatic Starting System is already in its 4th generation and internationally patented. It has been used in more than 40 countries already, and at most international canoe-kayak and rowing competitions, including 4 consecutive and successful Olympic Games (2004-2016). We are also contracted for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
